Summer Singing Series
A Creative Exploration in Voice & Play
Public Registration is Now Open!
This June, join us for a one-of-a-kind, 4-week singing experience that blends harmony, movement, and creative exploration—no final concert, just play, connection, and joy.

Not quite a choir. Not quite a class.
A summer playground for your voice
Designed to guide you in exploring your voice in playful, joyful ways, this series will lead you on a journey of discovery through founder and Director Greg Delson's holistic, three-part singing approach: Technique, Interpretation, and Uninhibitedness.
Each week features games, exercises, and experiences centered around these themes -- and always with group harmony!
You’ll build confidence, find joy in self-expression, and sing your heart out—just for the love of it. This is your space to grow, play, and reconnect with your voice and creativity in a whole new way.
No auditions. No pressure. Just a chance to move, vocalize, and create in community.

FAQS
Do I need to audition?
The Summer Singing Series is open to all—no auditions, no experience required. Just bring your curiosity, joy, and a willingness to sing with others in community. All singers will also be asked to sign our Community Guidelines & Waiver. These include our core values of never shaming any other singer, leaving politics at the door, and understanding that this is a group experience: "WE > me = Harmony." We are a supportive, joyful, encouraging community.
What if I don't have a lot of singing experience?
This series is designed for singers of all backgrounds—from first-timers to pros! Everything is taught by ear (no sheet music), and the vibe is warm, relaxed, and inclusive. We make space for everyone to feel at home in their voice.
What if I need to miss a session?
No problem. Each session is a complete experience—you don’t need to attend all four weeks to enjoy it. There’s no concert, no pressure, and no attendance requirement. Come when you can and enjoy the ride!
Will I need to practice between sessions?
No! These are stand-alone sessions each week. And unlike our choir season, there is no repertoire to learn or build upon.
Can my I bring my child, a pet, or a guest?
These sessions are for registered adult participants only (ages 18+). Due to venue, insurance, and safety limitations, we can’t accommodate guests, kids, or pets—thanks for understanding.
Where are the sessions located?
We’re offering three in-person Summer Series locations in June 2026:
-
Valley: Sherman Oaks (Tuesdays)
-
Westside: (Wednesdays)
-
Silver Lake: (Thursdays)
Exact addresses are shared only with registered participants and will be sent shortly before the season begins. Rehearsal venues and neighborhoods may shift due to availability or unforeseen issues beyond our control. *If you need to know the exact rehearsal addresses before deciding to join, please do not register.
Many of our rehearsal spaces are community halls within churches, synagogues, or other institutions, and occasionally we may rehearse in a sanctuary or main hall. These venues are among the few in Los Angeles large enough to host us, and we’re deeply grateful to the organizations that rent to us.
As part of our core community guidelines, we ask everyone to leave politics at the door. Our rehearsals are dedicated to music, joy, and human connection—not debate or division. We welcome people of all backgrounds and beliefs, and we do not tolerate discrimination, hostility, or shaming of any kind toward our hosts or one another.
*If rehearsing in spaces affiliated with various religious or cultural institutions conflicts with your personal views, this program may not be the right fit. Our focus is on harmony in every sense of the word.
Will Greg be leading each session?
Yes! Greg will be leading the Summer Series sessions along with live accompanists. If for whatever reason he is unable to attend, one of our amazing associate conductors may lead that session -- you will always be in good hands!
Will there be a concert?
This Summer Series is not a choir—it’s a summer gathering of singing, creative exploration, and community. No performance, no songs to practice. Just fun surprises, special guests, and a whole lot of harmony.
The session I want is full! Is there a waitlist?
Yes! If your preferred location is full, you’ll have the option to join the waitlist during registration. We’ll contact you if a spot opens up.
Can I switch locations or do make-up sessions at the other locations?
We’re unable to manage the logistics of make-up sessions or location switching this summer. Whichever location you sign up for, try to make those sessions. If you wind up missing a session or two - that's ok! You can just come back the following week.
What are the Covid protocols?
There are currently no local, state, or federal COVID guidelines in place for gatherings like ours, so we do not have any formal testing or masking requirements this season.
That said, all participants agree, through our Community Guidelines & Waiver, to stay home if they’re feeling sick, out of care and respect for the group.
*If you know you wouldn’t feel comfortable participating in a large group setting without specific precautions in place, we completely understand, and we’d love to welcome you in a future season when the timing feels better for you.
What happens if a session gets canceled?
We’re a small arts organization doing our best to provide a smooth and joyful experience. That said, in rare and unexpected cases—like illness, venue issues, extreme weather, or other emergencies (force majeure)—a rehearsal or event may be canceled.
If that happens, make-up sessions may not be possible, and no refunds or credits will be issued. We appreciate your understanding as we work to keep things fair and sustainable for the whole community.
What is the refund policy?
We understand that plans change. Once you register, however, a lot of preparation begins on our end—from staffing and venue reservations to licensing and materials—so we follow the tiered refund schedule below:
-
100% refund (minus processing fees) through Sunday, May 3, 2026
-
50% refund (minus processing fees) through Sunday, May 17, 2026
-
No refunds after that — no exceptions
Please note: payment processors such as Stripe and Corsizio do not return their processing and credit-card fees when we issue refunds. Those fees are permanently deducted from your original payment.
Running a large, joyful, and well-supported community choir involves real up-front costs. This policy helps us stay sustainable, fair, and focused on making the experience great for everyone.
We do not offer roll-overs or prorated memberships.
Read the full refund policy here.
Anything else I should know?
Yes! All Landlights Choir spaces are politics-free. Whatever your beliefs are outside, when we rehearse, perform, or gather, we’re coming together as human beings who enjoy singing together. One of our agreements is to leave politics at the door whenever we gather.
We value kindness, flexibility, and a sense of shared purpose. You may not know every song, and things won’t always be perfect, and that’s part of the beauty.
*If you're someone who thrives in a highly individualized or high-touch environment, this may not be the right fit. We aim to keep things flowing smoothly for everyone, and we appreciate members who are able to roll with the group and trust the process. Around here, it’s WE > me = Harmony.
